Boyne Blueway Trim

Boyne Blue Way information from Boyne Valley Tourism

“We have a fantastic announcement to make today! The brochures for our latest project – the Boyne Blueway Trim – have arrived in our office. Our Tourism Officer Michele Whelan has been very busy working with other stakeholders on this project and it will be a fantastic addition to our Boyne Valley Tourism offering.

The heritage town of Trim is the ideal location to begin your Blueway adventure. Whether you are in to paddling or walking or interested in the rich heritage and history of the region, the Boyne Blueway is a must for all paddling skill levels – from beginners to the experienced. The Boyne Blueway is a beautiful stretch of River Boyne from Inchamore Bridge near Longwood through the town of Trim itself and on to Bective Mill.

With a length of 35 kilometres, the full stretch can be paddled in approximately eight hours (experienced paddlers). Or why not take it in sections and at your own pace to savour the delights that the River has to offer? Trim also boasts some great Walking Trails and a Cycling Trail. The brochures will be available from all our Tourism Information Offices or you can find more information and download it at
