Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival Nominated for Award

Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival has been shortlisted as a finalist in the All Ireland Community and Council Awards that will take place on Saturday February 3rd in Croke Park, Dublin.

Now in its 12th year, the 2018 All Ireland Community and Council Awards are presented by IPB Insurance and LAMA. These awards recognise and celebrate community and councils working together. They provide a great opportunity to highlight and celebrate the work done within our communities, to reward our unsung heroes and recognise the phenomenal contribution they’ve made to our lives.

The 2017 Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival was a huge success and brought attention to Trim from an international audience during the weekend and through our various promotions that took place for the event.  With national TV & Radio coverage we’re not sure who didn’t hear about the festival.

Thank you to all our team, our sponsors, participants, performers, volunteers, those who offered there services and who helped out on the day and in the run-up to our festival.  Trim is now firmly on the map as a destination for the last Sunday in August as an annual event.

Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival was funded by sponsorship, local fundraising, local representatives and Meath County Council and was supported by volunteers, local groups/clubs/societies, businesses, the OPW, local representatives, all those who attended, Meath County Council, the Heritage Council, Ireland’s Ancient East and Boyne Valley Tourism.  The main sponsor for 2017 was Knightsbridge Nursing Home, the largest single employer in Trim.

The 2018 Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival will take place 26th of August 2018.
